I think I read somewhere that they have won 15 of 20 since Morneau went down. What's been so impressive is how they've won. Everytime I look up, it seems like they have put 8 or 9 runs on the board. Their run the past twenty games has been every bit as impressive as the Rockies in '07. The Tigers haven't exactly folded - they continued to play .500 ball, which is really what you'd expect from them given the talent level. The Twins lost only 4 times, three of them were against the Tigers and the other was to Zack Greinke. I had expected Greinke to beat them again, but the Twins solved him. The Twins earned this. In a must-win game, you cannot take chances like that. Thank God Granderson makes that catch on Quentin's ball because I was screaming for Lyon instead of Rodney. Leyland has certainly made some questionable decisions down the stretch. I would have loved to see JV on Saturday and Porcello Sunday (when Porcello would have been on full rest). Verlander is a big boy, he can handle working on three days. If he can't you still have Porcello pitching at home, where he has been much better than in Minnesota. I fully agree, Jen.
