You are dead-on about the Twins, Chris. I think I read somewhere that they have won 15 of 20 since Morneau went down. What's been so impressive is how they've won. Everytime I look up, it seems like they have put 8 or 9 runs on the board. The whole lineup has gotten hot all at once.

My hat goes off to the Twins. Their run the past twenty games has been every bit as impressive as the Rockies in '07. The Tigers haven't exactly folded - they continued to play .500 ball, which is really what you'd expect from them given the talent level. The Twins lost only 4 times, three of them were against the Tigers and the other was to Zack Greinke. I had expected Greinke to beat them again, but the Twins solved him. The Twins earned this.

I fully agree, Jen. In a must-win game, you cannot take chances like that. Thank God Granderson makes that catch on Quentin's ball because I was screaming for Lyon instead of Rodney.

Leyland has certainly made some questionable decisions down the stretch. I would have loved to see JV on Saturday and Porcello Sunday (when Porcello would have been on full rest). Verlander is a big boy, he can handle working on three days. If he can't you still have Porcello pitching at home, where he has been much better than in Minnesota.
