Who Should Hit Second For Detroit?

Note that I didn’t write ‘who will hit second’, it looks pretty certain to be L’il Will Rhymes.  But that’s just Jim Leyland, and what does he know about filling out a lineup card, am I right?  So the question is:  if you managed the Detroit Tigers, which of the starting 9 gets the nod to bat second?

I voted Magglio for the second hitter. Fantastic OBP and plenty of power.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Magglio leading off a la Jeter. The man gets on base, but he’s a GIDP machine – I’m never really excited to see him hitting with a man on first.

Definitely agree on Maggs at leadoff, but I felt like that paradigm (of speedy Jackson leading off) would be even harder to shift. Killer OBP from Maggs.

      I voted for Rhymes

Maggs batting second is definitely an interesting idea though. My question is who would bat third then? Perhaps Miggy and V-Mart fourth?

Definitely thinking outside the box. I am gonna try that in MLB: The Show the next few games.

Definitely would still want Cabby fourth.

    I’d go with Magglio 2nd, Cabrera 3rd, Martinez 4th.

The occasional extra bat Cabrera would get at the end of a close game could be the difference between winning and losing.
