Alburquerque to be examined by doctors in Detroit

For the third time this year, Tigers rookie Al Alburquerque has a twinge in his arm. After tossing with Tiger trainer Kevin Rand on Wednesday, he said that he was unable to go in the series finale against the White Sox.

He will be examined by doctors on Thursday, and manager Jim Leyland doesn’t think it’s anything major. Still, this is cause for concern.

Aforementioned in a previous Al-Al article, the amount of stress that his arm takes from throwing his slider so often is unimaginable. Hopefully he can stay healthy going forward.
