Fansided AL Rookie Of The Year

The network has tallied up its votes from all of us and the results are in. Eric Hosmer of the Kansas City Royals is the American League Rookie of the Year on Fansided. Call to the Pens’ Blaine Blontz’ article here shows how the voting went for the writers of fansided. Also in that article, you will find links to the NL winner and both the AL and NL Manager of the Year awards.

As for my personal vote, I went with Jeremy Hellickson. Hellickson had a sub 3.00 ERA for the Rays this year while winning 13 games. While he didn’t have great k/9 or bb/9 numbers, Hellickson minimized damage by just being tough to hit. And while I would’ve chosen the guy that pitched well for a team in a playoff run, who ultimately made it, I can’t really argue too much against Eric Hosmer.
