Vote For the Next West Michigan Whitecaps Food Item

A few years ago they shocked the world with the Fifth Third Burger – five low-quality one-third pound hamburger patties on a huge dry hamburger bun with corn chips, nacho cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream – and last year they made headlines with “Baco”, a taco in a shell made of bacon.

They were headline-grabbing menu items with the only problem that they didn’t taste very good*.

*’Baco’ could have been good had the bacon shell not been too chewy and had there been some seasoned ground beef added in as well (the bacon shell was the only meat, the inside was basically lettuce and tomato filler).

The Whitecaps are again putting their next big food addition to a vote, hopefully this year a true winner can be found, not simply a gimmicky one.

Voting ends on March 7 at midnight, with 10 new options ranging from Chaco Bäco – which seems like and ice cream sundae in a bacon shell – to Waffle Pizza to the Poor Richard – a beef hotdog topped with mashed potatoes and gravy.
