Tigers Tickets For Series vs A's 43% Below Season Average

The Detroit Tigers will host the Oakland Athletics for three games at Comerica Park this week.  The Tigers schedule has the two teams meeting this week for the second and final time this season. The series as a whole will be 43% below the series average.

The series begins Monday night and will see Tigers pitcher Anibal Sanchez match up against A’s lefty ace Scott Kazmir. The average price for Monday Tigers vs Athletics tickets is $81.42 with a get-in price of $43. Monday’s game will be the highest priced game of the series but still 21.4% below season average. Sanchez enters Monday’s game at 5-2 with a 2.64 ERA while Kazmir is an impressive 9-3 with a 2.66 ERA.

7/1 – Brad Mills vs Rick Porcello | Avg. Price: $50.20 | Get-in Price: $11

The second game of the series will feature the Tigers’ Rick Porcello against A’s lefty Brad Mills. The average price for Tuesday Detroit Tigers vs Oakland Athletics tickets is $50.20, 51.4% below season average, with a get-in price of $11, the lowest of the series. Porcello has had a great first half for the Tigers, going 10-4 with a 3.41 ERA while Brad Mills makes his third start of the season for the A’s on Tuesday. The finale of the series will see Justin Verlander get the nod for the Tigers against Jesse Chavez. Verlander is a shell of his former dominant self this season, posting just a 6-7 record and 4.80 ERA. Following this week’s series with the Tigers, the Oakland Athletics schedule has the team traveling back home to host the Toronto Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants over five games. The Athletics are the best team in baseball with a .630 win percentage at 51-30 and will look to keep rolling against the 44-34 Tigers when they head to Comerica Park this week.
