When We Last Met

The Detroit Tigers won game two of the three game series with the Tampa Bay Rays in an impressive fashion, with strong performances from both their pitching and hitting. Rick Porcello threw his third complete game shut out of the season and Victor Martinez hit a grand slam home run to break the game wide open in the seventh.

Pitching Matchup

David Price(12-8, 3.12 ERA) faces off against his former team for the first time after three strong starts for his new team, the last being a win against the Seattle Mariners in which he went seven innings and gave up one run on three hits and three walks with seven strike outs. Since Price spent his entire career with the Tampa Bay Rays prior to the trade to Detroit, he has never faced his former teammates.
