Dave Dombrowski really knows how to drum up interest in his team, doesn’t he? No one knows exactly how the moves from yesterday will affect the 2015 Detroit Tigers, but it does make the team more interesting, that’s for sure, and rejuvenates everyone’s yearning for Spring Training to see the newest edition of the team.

More from Detroit Tigers News

One of the newest Tigers, Yoenis Cespedes, should bring excitement to the diamond with his defensive skills, speed and power. Cespedes will be in a contract year and no doubt motivated because of that fact and that two teams, Oakland and Boston, gave up on him.

Tigers’ fans are no doubt anxious to see incredible plays (bobble notwithstanding) like this:

If that superhuman throw is not enough to convince you that Cespedes is Batman, consider Exhibit B.

The epic movie Batman vs. Superman, to be released in 2016,  has recently completed shooting in Detroit, so perhaps it is fitting that the legacy of Batman will live on for at least another year in the Motor City with Cespedes’ ride that could serve as the Batmobile.

As a rich young baseball player hailing from the poverty-ridden communities of Cuba is wont to do, Cespedes recently treated himself to a toy, a 2014 Lamborghini Aventador. The sports car can go from 0 to 60 in under three seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 217 MPH.

Cespedes spent nearly $400,000 on his new prized possession, but didn’t stop there. He invested another $300,000 to introduce a modification that shoots fire out of the back.

Don’t believe me? Here’s the visual proof:

Now the streets of Michigan are not very conducive to a car of this kind with potholes the size of Comerica Park in many areas of the state, so there is no guarantee it will make an appearance here next season. But maybe, just maybe, when you’re begging Yoenis for an autograph this season you can ask him for a ride.
