Detroit Tigers players will look to start a winning streak as the team returns home to face the Minnesota Twins. Jordan Zimmermann will take the mound against Minnesota’s Jose Berrios.

Detroit Tigers fan experienced something on Sunday that hadn’t happened too often over the past couple weeks—the Tigers won.

Thanks to some timely home runs by both J.D. Martinez and Miguel Cabrera, Detroit pulled out a victory in Baltimore to avoid the sweep. Warwick Saupold, Alex Wilson and Francisco Rodriguez also provided some quality innings out of the bullpen.

The Tigers will attempt to start a winning streak to turn the team’s season around on Monday against the Twins. Luckily for Detroit, Jordan Zimmermann will pitch. Zimmermann will look to start a winning streak of his own after losing his previous two games.

Monday’s contest will also mark the return of outfielder Cameron Maybin. The former top prospect hasn’t played this season after suffering a broken wrist in Spring Training. He’s likely to claim the starting position in center field from Justin Upton, who will likely shift back to left field. Steven Moya seems ticketed for impact pinch hitting duty.
