Detroit Tigers baseball returns on Thursday. Per a tweet form Detroit’s official Twitter account, we know what the team’s lineup will look like for Thursday’s contests.

Detroit Tigers players continue to make progress in Grapefruit League play.

Wins and losses aren’t the most important thing in Spring Training, but it is good to see the Tigers with three wins in the team’s last four contests.

The only non-victory in the stretch came in a 3-3 tie with the Washington Nationals.

Now, Detroit returns to the field to take on another National League East franchise in Atlanta.

The Tigers will take to the road to play the team after beating them by a final score of 8-6 on Wednesday.

In said victory, Andrew Romine connected for his second home run of the spring while scoring a run and driving in three.

Nick Castellanos and Mikie Mahtook each collected a pair of hits. The outfielder had a particularly strong day, also adding two RBI, a runs scored and a walk.

One of the former Tampa Bay player’s hits was a triple off R.A. Dickey.

It was a productive day for outfielders in general as Justin Upton scored two runs, while Tyler Collins and Juan Perez drove in a run each.

Pitching

On the pitching side of things, Anibal Sanchez stood out. The veteran came on in relief after Jordan Zimmermann and Logan Kensing combined for the first two innings.

Sanchez turned in four perfect innings, striking out five in the process.

Following the former Marlin’s outing, Justin Wilson entered and threw a scoreless frame. He walked two, but recorded all three outs via the strikeout.

Mark Lowe and Dustin Molleken also posted zeroes on the day for the Tigers.
