Detroit Tigers baseball is back on Friday. The team continues the 2017 regular season at home against the Chicago White Sox. Here’s what you need to know to watch the game.

Detroit Tigers players will look to start off a series against the Chicago White Sox on a positive note as the team kicks off a six game home-stand.

The upcoming home games, which also include three against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, are a welcome development for the Tigers.

Detroit previously spent the last 11 games on the road, registering just four wins in the process.

However, despite the rough stretch, things are trending in the right direction.

The Tigers claimed two of three in Kansas City to wrap up the road trip in what could easily have been a sweep.

The team was shut out in the middle game of the series, losing by a final score of 1-0.

Most recently, Detroit held on for a 6-5 win despite starter Matt Boyd lasting just 3.2 innings.

Warwick Saupold came on in relief, surrendering just one hit in three frames of work.

Shane Greene, Alex Wilson and Justin Wilson took things from there, allowing just three hits and a run combined. The trio also punched out four in total 2.1 innings.

Offensively, Justin Upton and J.D. Martinez both notched a pair of RBI. Elsewhere, Alex Avila and Victor Martinez went deep, helping Detroit account for 10 hits, six RBI and four walks.
