Rangers vs. Tigers prediction and odds for Tuesday, May 30 (Faedo undervalued)
By Reed Wallach

The Tigers rebuild has been progressing nicely, and now one of the key pieces will hope to start contributing.
Alex Faedo has had some setbacks, including Tommy John surgery, but he appears ready to make an impact at the big league level, fresh off his best start in the pros last week in which he struck out 10 batters in six innings last week.
Faedo leads the Tigers into a Tuesday night matchup against Rangers, who will start left hander Martin Perez. Can Detroit continue to compete?
Let's check out the odds for this matchup an get to our best bet:
Rangers vs. Tigers odds, run line and total
Rangers vs. Tigers prediction and pick
Faedo needs to limit home runs, he has allowed six in four starts, but besides that, I expect him to take off as a trusty righty in the Tigers emerging rotation. The former first round pick has showcased pinpoint control, only one walk in 21.2 innings of work, but has been crushed by some ill-timed home runs that have put him behind.
However, he has showcased his high end talent with a shutdown outing against the White Sox. While the Rangers present a stiff test, top five in batting average and wRC+ (quality of run scoring chances), there is regression coming for the team's veteran starter Perez.
After an All-Star campaign in 2022, Perez's ERA is up nearly one run from last year (2.89 to 3.83) and his xERA sits at 4.63. This is a perfect storm for Faedo to continue his ascent while the Rangers pitcher comes back to Earth a bit.
Give me the Tigers and the elite pitching staff to pick up a win as home underdogs.
