Royals vs. Tigers prediction and odds for Tuesday, June 20

The Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals are in the midst of a three-game AL Central series.
Despite their poor record, the Tigers are still well in the haunt for the division title. Meanwhile, the Royals are already looking forward to the offseason.
Tuesday's game will feature a pitching matchup between Daniel Lynch (5.79 ERA) of the Royals and Michael Lorenzen (4.23 ERA) of the Tigers. Let's take a look at the odds for the game and then I'll break down why the Tigers are the bet to make.
Royals vs. Tigers odds, run line, and total
Royals vs. Tigers prediction and pick
When the Tigers get to place against a left-handed starting pitcher, we should feel free to go ahead and bet on them. They're significantly better against lefties this season than they are against righties, especially as of late.
Over the last 30 days, they have an OPS of .676 against right-handed pitchers, the fifth worst mark in MLB over that stretch. But, they have an OPS of .786 when facing left-handed pitchers, which is the ninth best mark in the Majors over that same time span.
Tonight, they get to take on a lefty in Daniel Lynch, who has an ugly 5.79 ERA on the season. He's coming off a performance where he gave up seven hits, two walks, and seven earned runs in 7.0 innings pitched against the Reds.
Let's also recognize the Royals have the third worst bullpen in baseball, sporting a bullpen ERA of 4.81.
I'll gladly back Detroit as a home favorite on Tuesday night.
