BBA Hitting the Airwaves

The Baseball Bloggers Alliance is taking over the blogosphere and now they have set their sights (and sites) on the radio waves, as well. BBA Founder and author of C70 at the Bat, Daniel Shoptaw, announced yesterday that the BBA will begin a weekly call-in show on BlogTalk Radio. The initial show will be broadcast tonight at 11 pm Eastern.

Shoptaw will co-host the first edition of BBA Baseball Talk with Ron Kaplan of Ron Kaplan’s Baseball Bookshelf. Each week, a new pair of bloggers will host the show. This one-hour show will discuss the big stories of the day in major league baseball and other baseball-related topics.  Callers are welcome to chime in at 347-884-8690.

The Alliance, formed in 2009, is currently at 132 member blogs and growing. Recently, the BBA was also awarded charter community status by the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR). For more information on the BBA, visit the homepage, or contact Shoptaw to become a member.

Of the 132 member blogs, eight are also affiliated with the FanSided network, including Motor City Bengals. Be sure to check out the work of Babes Love Baseball, Marlin Maniac, Venom Strikes, Jays Journal, SoDo Mojo, Kings of Kauffman, and BoSox Injection, and look for them on the airwaves in the future.
