The Tigers had plenty of base runners through the first half of Saturday night’s game but a lack of timely hitting and good defense limited the Tigers offensive output to one run through six innings.

Jeremy Bonderman gave the Tigers a quality start but found himself on the wrong side of a 2-1 score after completing his half of the seventh. The Tigers caught a break in the bottom of the frame when Johnny Damon and Miguel Cabrera were able to score after Brennan Boesch put the ball in play and reached safely on a Ryan Doumit error.

However, Bonderman was denied the win after Joel Zumaya allowed a game tying hit by Neil Walker in the top of the eighth.

An overall frustrating night at the plate ended well when Carlos Guillen drove Brendan Donnelly’s third pitch of the tenth inning into the tunnel beyond the right field wall.

The loss was too much disappointment for the crew at Rum Bunter to recap, check out their Sunday Morning Brunch.
