Danry Vasquez has officially begun his journey to the show. In July of 2010 the Tigers spent $1 million on the highly touted 16 year-old Venezuelan outfielder. The projected five-tooler is finally playing stateside for the first time in his young career.
At just seventeen years-old, Vasquez is batting .333 with one double, one homer and 8 RBI in seven games with the Gulf Coast League Tigers. The results are very impressive despite being an extremely small sample size of data. The 6’3″ left-handed batter is still far from Motown but I look forward to keeping you posted on his progress down on the farm.
