Justin Verlander Named June’s AL Pitcher of the Month

Tiger ace Justin Verlander was named AL pitcher of the month, and deservedly so. He won all 6 starts in June, including 2 CG and one shutout. Every one of his starts lasted greater than 8 innings but one, which went 7. His final month numbers were only 29 hits in 49 innings, 54 K’s, and one more walk (6) than earned runs allowed (5). A couple more months like this, and Justin will be taking home his first Cy Young award.
