At Motor City Bengals we try to bring you as much about our beloved Tigers as humanly possible, but once in a while we have to look at other writers out there in Tigerland who have some good stuff of their own.

Much has been made about the Tigers lack of offense thus far in the playoffs, and while Delmon Young‘s absence doesn’t help because he has been hot, the rest of the middle of the order has been decidedly absent. Lee Panas of Tigers Tales took a look at the middle of the order in his blog here. Thankfully, the big bats came alive a little tonight.

Always an entertaining read, Rogo from DesigNatE. Robertson took on a pre-game speech with some of the Tigers brass, and umm….Kirk Gibson. Warning: There may be some unsuitable language for those that care about that type of thing. You can get some laughs here though.

Cats with Bats did an appropriate thank you in this entry to Magglio Ordonez, who after sustaining another broken foot may have played his last game in a Tigers uniform.

Over at AL Central In Focus, after Doug Fister‘s last start in the playoffs they wondered in this article if Doug Fister was an ace. Given his performance again tonight, I thought the link was appropriate to look at again. It is a nice look at what an outsider thinks of Fister.

Last, but certainly not least, MLive’s James Schmehl tells us in this article that the almost forgotten about Joel Zumaya would like to return next season with the Tigers and give it another shot. He is still young, and if he is willing to do it on a minor league deal, might be worth it.
