The Mesa Sloar Sox picked up their first victory of the fall season on Thursday – they’re 1-2 – but we really just care about the players:

Nick Castellanos (15 PA, .429/.467/.643, 27 K%, 7 BB%, 7 HR%, .556 BABIP)

Castellanos continued his fall assault with his third consecutive two-hit game, including his first extra base in the form of a ninth inning home run. He also ended the day with a single (his fifth single of the fall) and two strikeouts.

Aaron Westlake (8 PA, .125/.125/.125, 25 K%, 0 BB%, 0 HR%, .167 BABIP)

Westlake got his first hit of the fall – an RBI single – in this his second start. He was 1-for-5 on the day with no walks and no strikeouts.

James McCann (3 PA, .000/.000/.000, 0 BB%, 0 HR%, .000 BABIP)

Did not play.

Michael Morrison (1.2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 9 TBF, 22 K%, 33 BB%, 0 HR%)

Morrison got into the game and pitched a scoreless seventh inning. He struck out one, walked one, and didn’t allow a hit. He’s walked three in his 1.2 total innings this fall, so control is still a big issue.

Matt Hoffman (1.0 IP, 9.00 ERA, 6 TBF, 33 K%, 33 BB%, 0 HR%)

Did not play.

Tyler Clark (1.0 IP, 27.00 ERA, 8 TBF, 25 K%, 38 BB%, 0 HR%)

Clark was the first reliever out of the pen for Mesa, but he didn’t have a good outing. He did strike out two hitters, but also allowed three runs on two hits and three walks.

Luke Putkonen (0.0 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0 TBF, 0 K%, 0 BB%, 0 HR%)

Did not play.
