Detroit Tigers Prepare For Chilly Opening Day In Minnesota

The Detroit Tigers arrived in Minnesota today in time for a workout at Target Field. Chris Iott tweeted out a picture this afternoon that makes the scene looks quite pleasant (below).

They’ll need the time to acclimate to the weather — though I’m not sure it’s possible for baseballers to do so at these temps — as the forecast is calling for the high temperature on Opening Day to in the low-to-mid 30’s.

It’s not going to be the near-perfect weather of a June baseball game, but it is real baseball and I’ll take it for now. We’ll be counting on Justin Verlander‘s fastball to provide the heat.
