FanSided Making Friends of Foes Leading up to Spring Training

OK Tigers fans, who is your most hated team? Is it the evil empire of the New York Yankees? Those pesky Minnesota Twins? Both would be good answers, however one will become an ally for the next couple weeks.

Spring Training is just around the corner but we have to keep those competitive juices back for a little longer for a collaborative project with the other AL Central FanSided blogs: Kings of Kauffman, Puckett’s Pond, Deep Left Field and Southside Showdown.

The task is to create a position by position All-Star team made up entirely of players from the AL Central. The five sites will go through each position to determine the division’s best. If a decision can’t be reached between the five of us then we will open it up to a reader vote. When the roster is complete it will square off in a fan vote against the other American League All-Star teams. The project will ultimately conclude with an All-Star “World Series” to see which division can put together the best roster.

This all means that Tigers, Twins, White Sox, Indians and Royals fans will have to play nice. I will be sure to keep you up to date on our progress and point you to any polls that could determine a roster spot; in the meantime you can leave a message to let me know which Tigers you think are deserving of a spot on the All-AL Central team.
