We haven’t given out over $20,000 in prizes over the last year but that doesn’t mean we can’t team up with a group that has. Motor City Trivia and Glass City Trivia bring quality trivia entertainment to a host of locations throughout metro Detroit and Toledo. Prizes are on the line at every show and some serious cash can be won through their optional league-style season. Oh yeah, it’s always free to play.

I’m obviously a fan of what they do and it just so happens that they are a fan of what we do here at Motor City Bengals. We have decided to team up for a new weekly feature to test your Detroit Tigers trivia knowledge. Look for a special Tigers trivia question here every Monday.

Motor City Trivia hosted a special all Tigers edition of their game at one establishment last week. Here some of the questions they used to whet your appetite for our new weekly feature:

The Tigers won the American League East division in 1984 by 15 games. Which team finished second in the division that year?

Who was the most recent Tiger to hit for the cycle – doing so in 2006?

Which Tigers pitcher threw two no-hitters in the 1952 season?

Who is the Tigers all-time leader in games played with the team?

Last season, Miguel Cabrera set the franchise records for Intentional Walks. Within five, how many times was he intentionally walked?

Which former Tiger hit nine homeruns in his first thirteen games in 2006?

Which former Tiger who played for the team in 1996 and 1997 was deaf?

Which Tigers pitcher won the AL Cy Young award in 1984?

No cheating! Answers are on the next page.
