What the Motor City Bengals Staff and Adam Dunn Have in Common

We don’t usually toot our own horn around here but we’re now two months into the 2011 baseball season and there is just something bubbling inside of me that I can’t suppress any longer.

In truth, I’m quite proud of the entire Motor City Bengals gang. What we’ve done is downright remarkable.

John, Matt, Chris, Jay and I have all managed to equal Adam Dunn‘s hit total against left handed pitchers. That’s right, we all have zero hits against lefties. The only difference? It hasn’t taken us 38 at bats to get there.

The Chicago White Sox have committed $56 million dollars to Adam Dunn and designated him as their hitter but he hasn’t done much of that yet, even against right-handed pitchers. So much for that Adam Dunn/Victor Martinez debate.
