Down on the Farm: Guillen Returns to Game Action
By Editorial Staff

Over the weekend our very own Chris Hannum discussed the return of Carlos Guillen. Monday evening Guillen began his rehab stint with the Advanced-A Lakeland Flying Tigers.
In three plate-appearances, Gullien finished 0-2 with a walk. He was lifted in the 5th inning for pinch runner Corey Jones. No injury was reported so I assume they are just easing him into things.
Guillen could potentially be a boost for the Tigers, regardless of what your opinion of him is at this point in his career. Seriously, can he be any worse than our everyday second-baseman?
Along with third-base, second-base continues to be a black hole in the tigers lineup. Ryan Reighbourne Raburn continues to struggle at the plate and in the field. This appears to be Guillens final audition for a spot somewhere on this Tigers team. His contract expires after this season, so hopefully he kicks things up a notch.
