MCB Seeking Writers

Over the past year, Motor City Bengals has been experiencing tremendous growth as part of the ever growing Fansided Network. The time has come again for us to expand our ranks within the site, as we continue to look to bring you all the most quality coverage and articles on Tigers baseball we possibly can. This of course, means we have an opportunity out there for the right person(s) that would like to try their own hand at writing for one of the most visited Tiger sites around.

The ideal candidates will possess a good command of the written word, the willingness to be active in promoting Motor City Bengals through social media, and the ability to produce not only quality content, but a minimum of 3-5 articles per week. We are looking for writers who have an interest in producing a good volume of quality content, and is ideal for students who have an interest in writing, as well as Tigers fans with extra free time who would like to do something fun. Ideal candidates should also have a strong knowledge of the Tigers, the A.L. Central, MLB, and a general knowledge of advanced metrics.

While the position is not a paid position, many of those who have written for MCB have moved on to paid opportunities, so the position is ideal for aspiring writers who have a love for the Tigers as well as baseball. We at Motor City Bengals are committed to the development of it’s writing team, and providing opportunities within the Fansided Network for it’s writers who show an ability to excel. Paid Editor positions do become available often enough for those who produce high volume quality content.

There is no specific experience required, but applicants will have to provide a writing sample when they apply through Fansided.com.
