Prediction time is the best time, because when we get it right we have something to point back to and gloat about, but when we get it wrong (like pretty much every time), well, no one’s probably going to bother digging the post back up to rub it in our faces.

But tournaments are never as fun if you don’t make a guess — and everyone’s doing it — so we here at Motor City Bengals decided to try our hand at prognostication. These should be considered for entertainment purposes only and in no way should be taken seriously.

The fact that we mostly seem a bit partial toward the Detroit Tigers is likely due to a large percentage of scientific fact and a low percentage of home-team bias. Other than the Tigers there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of favoritism. Maybe a higher-than-expected bias toward the Tampa Bay Rays in hopes of an “easier” potential ALCS matchup?
