Detroit Tigers vs. Oakland Athletics ALDS Game 5: Start Time, TV Schedule, Probable Lineups
By Matt Snyder

October 5, 2013; Oakland, CA, USA; General view of grounds crew members changing the field from baseball to football after game two of the American League divisional series playoff baseball game for Sunday
Tonight’s ALDS Game 5 between the Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics will be a rematch of the Game 2 that ended 1-0 in favor of the A’s. For Justin Verlander this is familiar territory – he shut down Oakland on the road in Game 5 of the ALDS last year, throwing a complete game shutout. The elimination game will be a new experience for rookie Sonny Gray, but he didn’t show anything in the way of nerves five days ago when the Detroit offense came up with just four hits and two walks (against nine strikeouts) in his eight innings of work.
Five days ago we saw perhaps the best pitchers’ duel of this postseason. Will we see a repeat performance, or will the offenses figure something the second time around?
