It’s arbitration day for the Detroit Tigers and the rest of major league baseball. The first dominoes are starting to fall.
Confirmed: #Tigers avoid arbitration with Andy Dirks for $1.625 million. 1st reported by @joelsherman1. Five arb-eligible players left.

Andy Dirks was slated to receive a salary of approximately $1.7 million, according to estimates from MLB Trade Rumors.
The team also avoided arbitration with Rick Porcello.
Porcello's $8.5 million deal takes out #Tigers biggest arbitration case aside from Scherzer. Porcello was 3rd-yr arb eligible.

No arbitration for Austin Jackson either.
