It’s hard to believe it has been eight years since the Detroit Tigers’ resurgence began with the surprising 2006 team. That team was led by several power hitters that kept pitchers off balance throughout the season.

Without further ado, today’s question…

Which of following players on the 2006 team DID NOT hit at least 25 homers?

A. Brandon Inge               C. Magglio Ordonez

B. Craig Monroe               D. Marcus Thames

We’ll provide the answer on Motor City Bengals’ Facebook ( and Twitter (@MCB_Tigers) pages today at 4 p.m.

Last week we asked the following question:

Jose Iglesias finished second for the American League Rookie of the Year award in 2013 behind Tampa Bay’s Wil Myers. Since it was first awarded in 1949, how many Detroit Tigers have won Rookie of the Year?

The answer was four–Justin Verlander (2006), Lou Whitaker (1978), Mark Fidrych (1976) and Harvey Kuenn (1953).
