When We Last Met

Having been deemed “natural interleague rivals” by MLB, the Pirates and Tigers meet every year. They had quite a memorable series in late May 2013 with two games in Detroit immediately followed by two games in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh took the final three games of the series after the Tigers eeked out a 6-5 win in the series’ first game at Comerica Park. The Tigers scored just three runs in the final three games, losing a pair of 1-0 games.
