Brayan Pena didn’t think twice when Max Scherzer asked him for his address so he could send him something.Pena, who spent this past season catching and playing first base for the Cincinnati Reds, had enjoyed playing for the Detroit Tigers in 2013 and was glad to play a small role in helping Scherzer win the American League Cy Young Award.Pena said Scherzer had told him in 2013 that he would get him something nice if he won the Cy Young.An engraved Rolex watch arrived at Pena’s home in Florida.
