The Detroit Tigers will try to win their third game in a row after beating Miami, 8-4, on Wednesday and Baltimore, 6-4, on Thursday.

When We Last Met

Detroit has played Toronto just one other time this month, winning, 6-4. Rajai Davis and Anthony Gose led the way with two runs and an RBI.

Last season, though, the Blue Jays had the Tigers number, winning five of their six meetings during the 2014 regular season.

Detroit Tigers Lineup

Justin Verlander will make his fifth start of Spring Training on Friday. After five shutout innings to start the spring where Verlander allowed just two hits, he has yielded nine runs in the last eight 1/3 innings.

Right-hander Drew Hutchison will be on the mound for the Blue Jays. The 24-year-old was 11-13 with a 4.48 ERA last season.

Alex Avila is batting second on Friday and making his spring debut at first base. He is one of several players Brad Ausmus is considering as a possible emergency first baseman this season.
