Here at the Corner, we round up Detroit Tigers news and rumors around the Tigers blogosphere so that you don’t spend hours surfing the web searching.

The Detroit Tigers organization saw Baseball America release the Top 10 prospects in Detroit. Atop that list is Franklin Perez, and Bless You Boys isn’t surprised by that.

Baseball America released it’s Top 100 prospects, and three prospects for the Tigers made the list. BYB also weighed in on Baseball America’s Top 100 Prospects and the Tigers that made the list.

They also argued that fans shouldn’t worry about prospect Matt Manning just yet. According to the editor, Rob Rogacki, Manning is a high-risk high-reward prospect. Which means it’ll be a couple years before we know if Manning is a hit or miss ball player.

Kyle Yost, also of Bless You Boys, notes that the only constant for the 2018 Tigers is the ever-changing roster.

Jason Beck of MLB.com answered some of the fans questions-including if the Detroit Tigers are in the market for a big name free agent. That idea seems a little crazy to me, and Beck certainly seems to agree.

Beck also thinks to seem that the starting rotation is set at Fulmer, Boyd, Norris, Zimmerman, and Fiers. He does note to keep an eye out on Ryan Carpenter to sneak in there.

The team announced its full promotional slate for the 2018 season, and single day tickets are set to go on sale this Saturday.

The Detroit Tigers added another minor league player to the mix when they agreed to terms with a utility infielder.  Alexi Amarista played six positions for the Colorado Rockies last season. The Tigers offered him a deal that includes an invite to Spring Training.

The Detroit Tigers have a battle brewing for who’ll be the backup to James McCann in 2018. Andy Patton broke down who could win that battle.
