The Detroit Tigers signed Travis Wood to a minor league deal yesterday. Wood is expected to compete for the fifth man job in the starting rotation. Jordan Zimmerman, who is expected to be in the rotation, is planning for a healthy 2018 with the team.

Shane Greene believes that the closer role is his to lose this season. SB Nation’s Bless You Boys has a running list of everyone that’s been acquired by the Tigers this offseason.

James McCann might be on the move, as the latest hot stove rumor has the Nationals showing interest in him.

With the Detroit Tigers rebuilding, how good is the defense going to be in the 2018 season? Staff writer Austin Green broke down the implications. Double-A Affiliate Erie SeaWolves might be worth a watch as the Tigers go through their rebuild.
