The Detroit Tigers are focused on the future, not on winning now. Their play throughout spring training shows that, writes Shawn Windsor. The Tigers acquired Francisco Liriano over the weekend. The move helps improve the bullpen according to Anthony Fenech. The deal is reportedly a $4-million, one-year deal.

The Tigers beat the Blue Jays yesterday and Jeimer Candelario showed some pop in his outing. Candelario hit his first home run of spring training, and Detroit Sports Nation has a video of the homer.

Jordan Zimmerman made his spring training debut on the mound. He had no problem picking up the pace, according to the Ledger. Both Miguel Cabrera and Nicholas Castellanos led the Detroit Tigers in the win.
