The Detroit Tigers bullpen is seeing an unexpected competition play out. The injury of Travis Wood and the delay of Francisco Liriano are giving some another opportunity. Chris McCosky, of the Detroit News, writes that Blaine Hardy or Chad Bell could claim the second position in the bullpen.

Alex Wilson, meanwhile, is still fighting for a role in the starting rotation. Despite giving up a home run to Bryce Harper yesterday, Wilson is seeing steps forward writes Chris McCoskey.

Detroit Tigers prospect Jeimer Candelario continues to impress the team with each of his spring training outings. Miguel Cabrera has come into spring training looking fit, healthy and happy. Being surrounded by the youth of the Tigers team has invigorated the Tigers slugger writes Jason Beck.
