Detroit Tigers Sweep White Sox Take On Indians Next

Here at The Corner, we round up Detroit Tigers news and rumors around the Tigers blogosphere so that you don’t spend hours surfing the web searching.

The Detroit Tigers rounded out their series against the Chicago White Sox with a sweep over the White Sox. It was a series that included wins and rain as the Tigers went from 1-3 to 4-4. Tigers player Dixon Machado was a factor in all the wins, as he’s become a doubles machine for the Olde English D.

The Detroit Tigers are still looking to add pieces to the puzzle as they continue to rebuild. One of those pieces could be a catching prospect from the Red Sox, writes our newest (and returning to MCB) staff writer.

The Tigers take on the Indians next, and rain isn’t in the forecast. Cleveland.com is reporting that the earlier games will feature winter weather while the later games will feature more spring-like weather. Fransico Liriano is scheduled to start the first game of the series against the Tribe, writes Travis Gibbs of Detroit Jock City. The Tigers so far have had a good start to the season.  Jeff Seidel, of the Detroit Free Press, writes that the start has been an unexpected and pleasant surprise for Tiger’s fans.

Lynn Henning, of the Detroit News, thinks you should enjoy the Tigers good playing while it lasts. Things could get ugly as the season marches on for the Olde English D. Over at Call to the Pen, Brad Farber breaks down the biggest positives so far for the 2018 Tigers. Including the solid production the Tigers have seen in the middle of the batting order.
