Detroit Tigers: Machado blasts walk off bomb

The Detroit Tigers took home the victory with a 6-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles. Dixon Machado gave the Tigers the win with a 9th-inning walk-off home run. Home runs gave the finish all the drama Tigers fans could handle.

The game today was moved up due to inclement weather. Shawn Windsor, of the Detroit Free Press, writes that the Tigers have a weather problem. Along with the rest of Major League Baseball.

John Hicks hit a three-run bomb to give the Tigers a 5-4 lead. The Tigers would lose the lead in the top of the ninth. Machado then came back with the walk-off win. Comerica Park wasn’t the only place with home runs. Tigers prospect Christin Stewart hit an absurd bomb for Triple-A Toledo according to the Free Press.

The Tigers currently have a problem in the left field. Our own Andy Patton tries to figure out just who should be starting out there for the Olde English D. He also argues that just how well the Tigers do this season is directly related to how well Joe Jimenez performs.

The Tigers are celebrating two comeback wins in one day. As Evan Woodbery notes Tigers baseball is fun to watch right now. The Tigers managed to comeback against the Os’ after starting pitcher Kevin Gausman delivered a quality start for the opposing team.
