Detroit Tigers Minor League Game Reviews 6-1

Toledo beat Lehigh Valley 4-2. Box Score

On the offensive side, Mike Gerber went 1-4 with a home run and an RBI. Dawel Lugo went 1-4 with a triple. Christin Stewert went 2-4 with a double and an RBI.  Jim Adduci went 2-4 with two doubles. On the mound, Kyle Dowdy picked up the win. Dowdy pitched six innings where he struck out five batters, walked three and gave up just one hit.

Erie beat Akron 1-0. Box Score

Offensively, Jake Robson went 1-4. Will Maddox also went 1-4 but also picked up a double. Josh Lester went 2-4 with a double and an RBI. Kody Eaves went 1-2. On the mound, Liarvas Beto went for 4.1 innings. Beto struck out four batters and gave up two hits.

Lakeland lost to Daytona 7-4. Box Score

On the offensive side, Cam Gibson went 2-4 with a double and two RBIs. Isaac Paredes went 1-4 with a home run and an RBI.  Luke Burch went 2-4. Derek Hill went 2-3 with an RBI. On the mound, Gregory Soto got the start. Soto went 3.2 innings striking out five batters along the way. He also gave up a home run and three runs on four hits.

Lakeland lost to Daytona 7-0. Box Score

In their makeup game, Lakeland couldn’t get anything going. On the offensive side, Danny Pinero went 1-3. Both Derek Hill and Elys Escobar went 1-2 with a walk. On the mound, Endrys Briceno was awarded the loss. Briceno pitched four innings striking out two. He also gave up seven runs on eight hits.

West Michigan lost to Bowling Green 15-1. Box Score

On the offensive side, Cole Peterson went 1-4. Jose Azocar went 1-4 with a double and an RBI. Colby Bortles went 1-3. On the mound, Jose Vasquez was given the loss. Vasquez pitched three innings giving up two home runs and eleven runs on eight hits.
