Detroit Tigers Minor League Reviews for 6-3

Toledo lost to Lehigh Valley 5-6. Box Score

On the offensive side, Dawel Lugo went 2-5, as well did Mikie Mathook. Also going 2-5 was Jason Krizan. Krizan picked up two RBIs and Mahtook picked up one. Chad Huffman went 2-4 with an RBI. On the mound, A.J. Ladwig pitched seven innings of work. Ladwig struck out just one batter on the day and gave up one home run.

Erie beat Akron 4-3. Box Score

On the offensive side, Jake Robson went 2-4 as did Dominic Ficociello. Ficociello also had an RBI on the day. Sergio Alcantara went 2-3 on the day with an RBI. On the mound, Anthony Castro put in four innings of work. Castro struck out one, gave up seven walks and one run on one hit.

Lakeland beat Daytona 9-5. Box Score

Offensively, Cam Gibson went 3-5. Luke Burch went 4-5 with an RBI. Danny Pinero went 2-5 with five RBIs. On the mound, Alfred Gutierrez put in four innings of work. Gutierrez struck out three and gave up one home run. He also gave up four runs on seven hits.

West Michigan lost to Bowling Green 7-2. Box Score

On the offensive side of the diamond, Cole Peterson went 1-4. Dylan Rosa went 2-4 and Joey Morgan went 1-2. On the mound, Matt Manning got the start and pitched five innings. Manning struck out eight batters and gave up one home run.

Today is the MLB draft and the Tigers have the number one overall draft pick. Casey Mize or Joey Bart have been thrown out as potential players whom the Tigers will pick. The last three years a positional player has been taken first overall.
