The Tigers are somehow playing in playoff contention. No one really knows how or why. It’s just a strange season of chaos. Even the Big Lead, of USA Today Sports, tries to figure it out. The Tigers are almost a .500 team as Bless You Boys points out. Don’t forget though, that Jordan Zimmerman and Francisco Liriano are returning. Zimmerman posted a 94.50 ERA in his first rehab start and Liriano posted an 18.00 ERA. But, yes the Tigers are playing close to .500 ball in a division that feels like its AAAA ball.

Including that, it’s too early to say that Castellanos is the foundation of the said rebuild.
