Here at The Corner, we round up Detroit Tigers news and rumors around the Tigers blogosphere so that you don’t spend hours surfing the web searching.

The Detroit Tigers have an off-day today after their disappointing series with the Reds. They’re back in action tomorrow against the Indians. The game is scheduled to start at 7:10 PM tomorrow.

There are plenty of people voicing their dislike of skipper Ron Gardenhire. The Tigers are sitting at three games under .500. According to Anthony Fenech, of the Detroit Free Press, Gardenhire isn’t worried at all about the critics. Gardenhire event was a far as to suggest that the critics manage a team of their own.

Over at the Detroit News, Chris McCoskey writes that Gardenhire isn’t a fan playing against NL teams, as the pitcher has an advantage getting to hit every day. He also elaborated more on Gardenhire’s grievances with the Twitter critics.

The Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals are slated to kick off the College World Series with a game in Ohama ESPN is reporting. It’s similar to how the MLB kicked off last years Little League World Series.  Over at the Athletic, the latest MLB Power rankings are out. The Tigers find themselves at 17th, up one spot from last week.
