Detroit Tigers Minor League News

SB Nation’s Minor League Ball checked in on the Tigers preseason top twenty prospects. They didn’t update the list, but rather listed how each of the prospects were doing so far in the season. Their preseason number one was Franklin Perez. Perez, is out of the rest of the season with an injury.

Lynn Henning, of the Detroit News, wrote who’s been hot and who’s not for the Prospects. Jake Robson has been hot on the offensive side of the ball, he’s been batting .324 in 36 games with Triple-A Toledo.

Brock Deatherage continued his hot streak with Single-A West Michigan. He picked up his second five-hit game yesterday afternoon. The Tigers drafted Deatherage in the tenth round of the MLB draft and he’s been quite the delight for followers of the Tigers farm system.
