  • Toledo beat Indianapolis 4-2. Box Score

Detroit Tigers Minor League Preview 8-29

  • Toledo is taking on Indianapolis.  Game start is scheduled for 1:35 PM. Probable pitchers are TOL: Saupold (3-0, 4.15) IND: Eppler (12-6, 3.70).
  • Erie is taking on Harrisburg. Game start is scheduled for 6:30 PM. Probable pitchers are ERI: Manning (0-0, -.–) HBG: TBD.
  • Lakeland is taking on St. Lucie in a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to start at 6:30 PM. Probable pitchers are STL: Llanes (7-9, 4.25) LAK: Idrogo (4-3, 4.50). The second game will start after and no probable pitchers are currently scheduled.
  • West Michigan is taking on Dayton. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM. Probable pitchers are WM: Bass (6-7, 4.11) DAY: Orewiler (5-4, 3.45).
  • Connecticut is taking on Aberdeen in a doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to start at 5:35 PM.
  • GCL Tigers West is taking on GCL Cardinals. That game is scheduled to start at 11:00 AM.

Minor League News

There’s not much in Tigers prospect news going on. GCL Tigers West is taking on GCL Cardinals today for a decisive game three in the GCL Championship series. Mike Gerber helped push the Mud Hens closer to a Wild Card lead. The Mud Hens took down league-leading Indianapolis yesterday.  A win today would give them the lead in the IL Wild Card race.

In the non-Tigers news, the Rockie’s number two prospect, Peter Lambert, registered his first scoreless outing since May. Per MiLB.com he’s Baseball America’s number 84 prospect, and had been compiling rough starts over the course of the season.  He pitched well enough to drop his ERA from 6.29 to 5.54.
