We have our first MLB Draft 2020 player come to terms as Trei Cruz, the Detroit Tigers 3rd round draft pick signed for $900,000, which is over slot value, which was $857,400. Cruz, the switch-hitting infielder, is the first Tigers’ draft pick to sign.  Cruz posted on Twitter the good news.

Matt Boyd On the “Top Step Podcast”

From Seattle Mariners pitcher Ryan Rowland-Smith spoke to Tigers lefty ace Matt Boyd on his podcast ” The Top Step Podcast. Boyd discussed his off-season so far to stay in shape, his time growing up in Washington, and how a conservation with former Tiger Ian Kinsler changed his perspective on pitching.  He also shared the same feelings as most players have during this whole COVID-19 situation.
