The Detroit Tigers have left-hander Joey Wentz take the hill. Wentz is coming off a solid start against Tampa. He went 5.1 innings, allowing three runs on four hits, and generated 11 swings and misses. He continues to make a case to stay in the rotation permanently. Wentz is currently pitching in place of Michael Lorenzen, who is on the IL with a groin injury.

He matches up against right-hander Tanner Houck, who has only faced Austin Meadows and Spencer Torkelson, who are in today's lineup. Houck won his first start of the season back on April 2 against Baltimore. He went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits, two of which came courtesy of the home run ball.
