It's that time of year again. With spring training just around the corner, and top prospect lists starting to churn out, it's time to release our own. Starting tomorrow, we'll begin to roll out the Motor City Bengals top 30 Detroit Tigers prospects lists for the 2024 season.
This is something we've done for the last few years, and we're happy to bring it back once again in 2024. Starting tomorrow, we'll release one prospect profile per day, starting with our 30th ranked prospect in the Tigers' farm system, until we get to our top prospect.
Fellow MCB Co-Expert Tyler Kotila and I will be back again this year with our thoughts on select Tigers prospects. But this year will also see the return of one the OGs of Tigers prospect rankings.
That's right. Our very own Rogelio Castillo will be back breaking down some prospects. You probably know him from his fantastic work at Tigers Minor League Report along with Chris Brown, another MCB alum. Rogelio was kind enough to lend his services to this top prospects list, and we couldn't be more excited to have his analysis back in the fold here.
We came up with our list the same way we always do — Tyler, Rogelio and I all shared our personal top 30 Tigers prospects, then we averaged everything out to get the official list.
I think if there's one thing we can say after doing this prep work it's this: this is the deepest the Tigers farm system has been in years. The new player development team, led by Ryan Garko, has worked wonders for this organization. It's nice to feel good about the direction of this team again.
Once again, the action begins tomorrow with the 30th-ranked prospect in the Tigers organization according to us at MCB. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we've enjoyed putting this list together
