Tigers broadcasts looked like they might not have a home after Bally Sports Network dropped the team's contract in October last year, while they were dealing with bankruptcy and a potential buyout and rebrand. However, the Tigers were quick to make another deal with the newly renamed FanDuel Sports Network to keep broadcasts where they always were.
FDSN Detroit will be broadcasting a handful of spring training games when Grapefruit League play kicks off later this month (for the Tigers, with a Feb. 22 game against the Phillies). Here's everything fans need to know.
Detroit Tigers 2025 Spring Training schedule and TV broadcasts
Of the Tigers' 33 spring training games, fans will be able to either listen to or watch exactly two-thirds of them. All of Detroit's home games will be available on either TV or radio, with additional games against the Yankees in Tampa, the Pirates in Bradenton, the Blue Jays in Dunedin, the Phillies in Clearwater, and the Red Sox in Fort Meyers also available one way or the other.
FanDuel Sports Network Detroit will broadcast nine spring games starting with their contest against the Yankees on Feb. 23, but four will only feature the away feeds. Their spring opener against the Phillies will be available to listen to on 1270 AM WXYT.
Also of note is MLB's Spring Breakout games, featuring some of the game's top prospects. The Tigers' squad will take on the Braves' top talent on March 16. FDSND will not broadcast that game, but they were available on MLB Network in 2024.
