UPDATE: The game is expected to start at 2:50.

Keider Montero is set to take the mound on Wednesday against Twins starter Zebby Matthews in a rubber match to settle the series at Comerica. First pitch was scheduled for 1:10, but the Tigers are going to have to wait, as inclement weather in Detroit means the tarp is on the field.

The team confirmed they'll start in a delay about 45 minutes ahead of the game's scheduled start.

The Tigers are looking to wrestle this series away from a Twins team that sent them off from Minneapolis with their tails between their legs. Detroit's first win in this series wasn't quite the same beatdown they were dealt by the Twins last week, but it allowed the Tigers to recover a little bit of their pride (before going down 3-2 in the second game of the series).

Tigers vs. Twins Rain Delay, September 9: When will the game actually start?

The Tigers have been less than helpful so far, and have yet to provide an expected start time, though rain is expected to continue for at least the next hour and resume later in the evening. AJ Hinch vowed that they'll "find a window," and it does seem that they will have one starting around 2 PM.
