Much of the Detroit Tigers' broadcast team will look the same in 2025, but there will be a few noticeable differences on both TV and radio.

The Tigers announced some changes to their TV and radio broadcast teams for 2025 earlier in the offseason. To the delight of Tigers fans everywhere, Jason Benetti will return as the team's primary TV play-by-play voice on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit. He will now be joined by one of two former Tigers players – outfielder Andy Dirks or pitcher Dan Petry – as primary TV color analysts.

Daniella Bruce is one of two TV sideline reporters. Her counterpart has yet to be announced, but the two will likely alternate sideline reporting and pre/postgame show hosting duties throughout the season.

On the radio side, Dan Dickerson returns to handle play-by-play duties. He will be joined by Bobby Scales as one of the main color analysts, along with Petry, who has primarily done TV in the past.

Tigers legend Kirk Gibson announces surprise departure from Detroit's broadcast team

Less than two weeks before the season is set to begin, another unexpected change was announced to Detroit's broadcast team. Former Tigers player and 1984 World Series hero Kirk Gibson, who spent the past 10 years as an analyst, announced in a joint statement with FanDuel Sports Network Detroit that he would be stepping away from the broadcast booth this season while working with his foundation in the fight against Parkinson's disease.

Gibson was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2015, the same year he returned to the Tigers' broadcast booth. He has spent the past decade as part of a rotating cast of TV color analysts that includes Dirks, Petry, Todd Jones and Carlos Pena.

"Although I may be leaving the booth, my connection with the Tigers remains strong," Gibson said in a statement Monday. "Over the past 25 years, I have been honored to introduce integral parts of the game from my experiences as a player, manager, and coach. I’m incredibly grateful for the support from the Tigers organization, the Ilitch family, and Detroit’s loyal baseball fans."

While his voice will no longer grace the airwaves, Gibson will remain with the Tigers organization as a special assistant in the front office, and we're sure we'll see him make a guest spot at some point in 2025 to catch fans up on everything that's going on.
